Hello.
yesterday my automatic transmission was from my S8 (Bj. 99) died.
The following history:
I've had the car for 10 months. I have noticed this often:
When I'm in 3. The automaton started in the 4th century, and then went off the gas. To switch gear. However, when I went back on the gas at this moment, there was always a huge rush. If you remained constant on the gas, this error did not occur. This error was reproducible.
The following error occurred last summer:
I've been driving from a freeway stop with a permanent full speed to the freeway. ==References== I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
2-3 months ago I was in Tiptronic mode and wanted to overtake. I guess I just switched back at the same time and hit the kickdown. He then drove the engine fully into the limiter and stayed there until I left the gas again.
With the last two unique bugs, I assumed a "software bug".
Because of the "3-4 Ruckler" as described above, I talked to some people (among other things also with an Audi car master) about it. However, everyone always told me that I had to get used to the automatic first and that I should not take away the gas when switching, but should simply be pressed at constant speed. Gradually I thought that this jerker was from 3-4 constructional, although I always wondered how to build it....
Yesterday the following happened:
I'm in five. ==References== with 110km/h, then I wanted to switch in Tiptronic mode from 5 to 3. The automatics changed from 5 to 4 and then immediately after 3. Suddenly a huge jerk came. About as if you let the clutch get full grips on a manual gearbox. I'm scared. But the car went on in all the corridors. But I somehow felt that he didn't go through 100%.
I drove a couple more KM. I also turned him off a few times in Tiptronic mode (until he switched it off by himself), because I wasn't sure if he was really pulling worse, or if I was just imagining it. When I wanted to drive up the motorway again and gave full throttle, the engine ran into the limiter when changing gear from 3 to 4, I no longer had any propulsion and the error indicator (emergency run) from the transmission lit up in the FIS.
Conclusion: Gears R,1,2,3 work as usual. ==References== He's gonna be in the fifth place. Nothing happens and he brings the emergency run message. Then I'm out of my way. When you give gas, the engine is crying, that's all. Then only engine restarts and in TIPtronic mode the 3. Don't cross gear.
I took the car to Audi today. I was told the following after half a day by phone:
The motor control unit is probably defective and reports faulty torque values to the Getiriebe (he said so). You ordered a new control unit. Whether the gearbox has suffered a consequential damage, he can tell me only when the new control unit is installed.
My thoughts are now:
Faulty values for the "operational state of the engine" could explain my above-explained 3-4 jerks. However, they had the car several times on the error tester (due to other faults -> camshaft adjusters were defective). Could it be that they could overlook an error message from the gearbox?? Could it have been possible to avoid a transmission defect by taking it in time?
Is it possible that the engine control unit is "defected" and that everything else seems to work correctly except for the faulty torque values?
Can't it just be a sensor that doesn't work correctly??
I hope you can help me and maybe know what could be broken with my S8.
Does any of you have any more information about the automatic transmission??
Greetings,
Martin
