I had my (fully functional) air conditioning waiting yesterday.
(thought it was part of the big inspection)

when I asked the climate species he just said that everyone always thinks that it belongs to the inspection only that is mostly not so!! And before all things the filling quantity is not checked!
I was already worried and saw my car in the workshop to look for the climate leakage but the climate type calmed me down quickly.
It is so that air conditioning in a year up to approx. 50 grams of coolant can lose.
Is that coolant empty pulls that system that oil out of the climate compressor and you have a quick total damage to the climate compressor (anyhow I understood that).
Yesterday the action cost me 100 euros and I think it was worth it!!

Super Tipp!!
Da werd ich mich gleich mal aufmachen und `ne freie damit betrauen! Bei der Gelegenheit werd ich auch noch gleich das ATF-Öl kontrollieren lassen. Wie im anderen Thread schon beschrieben hab ich ja seit dem letzten Besuch bei den freundlich so´n Schaltrucken und merkwürdiges Geräusch.
Aber da der Wagen vom gleichen Betrieb immer Checkheft gepflegt wurde, und wie du schreibst die Klima nicht dazugehört, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass der Ölstand um ca. 400 gr. reduziert ist (50 gr. mal 8 Jahre).

dann hättest du jetzt -100g öl im Kompressor
da die fülmenge ja nur 300 ml beträgt.
die anlage kann aus dem Kompressor das öl nicht raussaugen das verhindert das ventiel auf der saugseite vom kompressor was den druckausgleich zwichen saugseite und kompressor herstellt.
sonst würde ja auch nach jedem klimaservice der kompressor kaputt gehen, weil man beim vakuumieren das öl aus dem kompressor saugen würde.
da sieht man wieder das die meisten die einen klimaservice machen garnicht wissen was sie da tun.

Na das klingt ja als ob ich erst beim nächsten Service bei den freundlichen ran muss. So ca. in 13.000 km
