new from the S8 engine damage - the following happened

They forgive me for the new thread :-)

I had suddenly heard a loud tacker at my S8 at idle speed.
The following happened: The spark plug of cylinder 6 has lost the complete middle electrode! Pictures of spark plug and cylinder head included.

The head above cylinder 6 is so hazy, looks like someone shot with the machine gun on it.

So the head's over, especially since it's on Zyl. 6 brings only 7 bar compression, instead of as usual 13 bar.

The spark plug was about 7-8000 km old (young) and properly treated (not thrown down or similar). And it was the right (bosch) candle for this engine.
