Rhythms and snares while steering

Hi,

there I am again - do not fight, but there are different topics by the bank, which have been waiting for a long time for answers, only come together

Since my purchase (two years ago) my V8 has been driving in a standing position and rolling slowly forward or backward, above all. in the cold state very loud "rubbing noises" organized - one could also call it "grumbles". When driving faster, it was never, just in the stand and there, actually, only when it was cold. ==References====External links== into the underground garage and then the right or left steering when entering the floor (in New German: With increased load on the front axle by springing in).

All right, my Mech said, cathedral camp. So in the summer, Rainer changed both cathedral camps in the front but: Right, it didn't do anything. On the contrary, I think it's gotten worse. Now it may even be that when driving backwards (e.g. When parking) and steering also comes a "klong" from the front, as if something was "crashing". Otherwise, everything seems perfectly fine and stable, but at such moments it sounds like something is crumbling or rubbing and making klong :

Now Rainer has noticed that my steering gear cuff is over (yes, it wasn't a nice summer ...) and that hydraulic oil is siffing - well, it can't be much since I've had the part since house number 10,000km and two years and never had to pour anything. the position of the hydraulic tank has never changed. He thinks that rubbing and snoring when driving is the steering gear that is defective - but I think that if it is so, it would have to lose more oil. And the sounds are there, as I said, from the moment of purchase, so for two years. I should have noticed a reduction of the stand (but it has been nailed down to a minimum since purchase).

What kind of component can be worn out if it's not the cathedral bearings? Really the steering gear? Then what's the "Klong"? By the way, the track rod heads are already new, but the noise was already there before.

Again baffled

Hallo Bastian!
