Got an A8 3.3 TDI Bj02. Yesterday, on the way home from the ski holiday, I wanted to overtake a car on a country road that was traveling at about 80 km/h. Switched from D to S about 5 seconds before the overtaking maneuver. The gearbox turned down a gear. During the overtaking, the acceleration was normal. Just before the end of the maneuvers, ALWAYS ALWAYS CLEARING, the engine suddenly dies off as if it had swallowed up. At this time it was already about an hour on the way, so engine warm and tank about 3/4 full. So, warning flasher in, braking (was normal) and right.
Gear lever back to P and restart. Everything's back to normal.
I had exactly the same problem before ca. 2 months. Is there something going on?
Tomorrow will try to get an appointment in the Audi workshop and have the memory read out.
Only in advance: Does any of you know this problem, and what can be the cause of it?

Motor dies while accelerating

Hallo,
hatte bei meinem 2,5 TDI ähnliche Symptome. Es fing damit an, das der Motor sich gelegentlich beim starken Beschleunigen verschluckte und endete darin, dass er auf einer Autobahnfahrt gar kein Gas mehr angenommen hat.
Darauf hin habe ich den Diesel-Kraftstofffilter gewechselt und das Problem war weg.
Drück Dir die Daumen, dass es nur dieses kleine und kostengünstige Problem ist.
