Hi,
Now, an anecdote about my V8.
Contrary to all reason, I bought another Audi V8. After a short search I had 4 to choose from, a 4.2 with more than 8 previous owners but alleged 160,000 km..., a 4.2 with gas equipment and alleged 64,000 km a 4.2 completely rebuilt and a 3.6 with alleged 98,000 km from 88.
The first three were placed after a call ad acta, the fourth. I had more detailed descriptions.
It came out that this was actually already sold, a young man from Dortmund had already promised to buy it...
Luckily the sale did not come about and so after a short consideration I drove directly from work by train to Lindau (Bodensee).
At least 7 hours drive with all the changes.
When I arrived and had the probably usual sightseeing of the sights behind me I could see the V8.
Almost unbelievable what I found:
A V8 Ez. 88, Delivery 89, 1. Hand, unbasked, stacked with new timing belt new UFOs with pads and new brake lines, otherwise everything is fine, cruise control works, all the helpers are doing their job and an immobilizer is already inside...
Leather as new (black), varnish (black) also.
The obligatory key pocket with V8 logo and a block, which you got at the time when you bought it, on it the Audi V8.
The seller actually had everything done regularly from the time of purchase, only a vibration on the front with slow rides over cobblestones..
On the way on a stop then a traffic control. After reviewing all documents including the purchase contract and the letter then the declaration:
The number plate (LI-VA*) was the size of the American number plate. This is no longer permitted today if the car does not require it.
And I was afraid the car was reported stolen or something...
On the journey home, with all kinds of procedures in total 1,1000 km, everything was still in order consumption approx. 11 l Super and approx. 0.5 l oil at constant 160 .
Well, now he's here and he's been re-registered.
Maybe there's another one from the GE room in the forum. Exchange.
Audi picked up...

- Bremsen vorne komplett neu
- Bremse hinten muss gemacht werden
- Reifen haben standplatten
- Zahnriemenwechsel erst 10.000 km her
- sehr gepflegt
Und so war es auch alles, mittlerweile sind die Reifen neu, Bremse hinten und Inspektion kommt nächste Woche, Bilder sind in der Car DB eingestellt.
Gruß
Markus
