yesterday I renewed my brakes at the front. Saddles, UFOs, and org. Rubbers. Finally good brakes again.
Review Easter 2007:
The brakes had to be put on in our thickness and in the forum everything spoke of Red Stuff. First reports sounded pretty good, so I ordered the things. When I finally had all the parts (there were differences because of the wear indicator) together after some turbolences I installed the coverings. My UFOs only showed minimal wear and were completely free of Riefen.
The first impression with the new coverings was good. The brake was cold as usual, but the warmer it became the more biting it became. I was thrilled and ignored the slight grinding noise that was now always heard when you hit the brake. Then I became skeptical after an emergency braking system of 260 speed. The braking performance was legendary, so no fading actually top.
Aaaaber at the next actuate the brake it almost cut the steering wheel out of my hands so the thickness has shaken. Diagnosis: Discs crooked! Sh...e, but not to change.
So I was riding with brute brakes until yesterday. It was only between 80 and 100, otherwise it was like that. Then nearly 4 months after the assembly of the Red Stuff pads the old brake was thrown out. In the meantime, the left saddle was also knocked out because of the crooked disc.
Balance sheet after 3000km

Brake pads down to wear limit, discs down completely (the grinding noise during braking), very deep bars < 0.8mm, discs crooked and a saddle knocked out as a result.
I've never seen anything like it before. I've already tortured brakes on the Nordschleife, but even they didn't look like that. For my part, I'm tired of Red Stuff and am very satisfied with my new UFOs again. Now, on the next occasion, steel flex brake hoses come in and is good.
