This is probably an old hat, but today when I refill oil (it happens more often with the V8) one of the rest noses of the filling lid is broken off - of course when screwing the lid.
Where it happened, I couldn't stop either, so I drove back and down the valve lid to check, but I couldn't find anything.
When the lid was inspected more closely, the material no longer seemed the best.
So, the lid doesn't cost much and the trouble is very big when there's a part in the engine somewhere, which doesn't belong there...

Wenn du mal nen Kopf genau angeschaut hast....da gibt es soviele Lücken und Verstecke....da verschwindet so ne kleine Nase auf "Nimmerwiedersehen" !!!!!!
Also ICH hätte solange gesucht bis ich das Näslein gefunden hätte.
