Automatic transmission switches spongy - howssooo??

Hi, you!
Does anyone know these symptoms:
When switching hardly proper resistance on the gear lever, everything floods back and forth. Put it in reverse sometimes has to be done with emphasis until it's inside. In the display, the driving steps sometimes appear wrong, e.g. it is switched to "D", but displays "N".
But otherwise it's completely normal.
Is that a capitalized gear damage or is there something wrongly adjusted or...?
