Has anyone successfully disassembled the distributors and sealed them because of oil permeability ?
I've got two pretty permeable distributors lying here, one of which has even a little bit of this pertinax disc.
Nice that the distributors have oil wells and let it drip on X-tube or transmission.
I might need a source of spare parts, because VAG only offers complete distributors.
How to disassemble them Jörg D. yes already put in the FAQ, now we only need parts!

hmm...das ist doch genau das, was bei mir warscheinlich auch leicht undicht ist, wie wir neulich gesehen haben, oder? Hehe

Teflonscheiben oder PE 1000 HMG. Siris und gut.
Material ist ein hochdichter Duroplast als Lagermaterial gern zu DDR zeiten verwendet . Patantanmelndung in den 1960ern bei Guben Chemie und das westdeutsche Pendant Bakelit....
ja nun... soweit ja gut... aaaaber... im Gegensatz zu Bakelit erscheint mir Teflon ja schon arg weich... meinst das ist nicht weiter tragisch?
Du hast vergessen das ich dir damals noch zwei federstahlanlaufscheiben dazu empfahl....
