Gearbox loses oil... Addendum!

Hi, guys.

It's been a while since I complained about oil loss on the 6-speed transmission (drive C4 4.2 Avant). At that time, I promised I'd report back when the wrong person was fixed... and since this thing has been tight for a few weeks now I thought I'd get in touch again if someone searched the forum :-)

So there were different seals on the gearbox changed, Oelkuehler overbroken and the strangest things tried (over 3 weeks error-seeking... not at the stage, but again and again). The oil loss was only in the driving condition, not when you let it run on the stage or something. This made troubleshooting more difficult, as the oil is splashed through the wind.

In any case, it was the sieve at the oil pump. That was clogged and probably derived the oil up... so towards the deflation. And the hotter the oil was and the faster you drove the more oil came out of there, shooting at the KATs and burning there. Man, I was scared. So, the sieve's clean now and the oil's pissing out more... Now the crankshaft flange is for... There's a siff now. What did I buy? If I had kept my S4... *sniff* :/
