So guys, here's a thread from Absurdistan again, unfortunately live and experienced in colorful!
Today, the booth again came forward, which replaces the built-in AKD gearbox with another AKD gearbox.
Both transmissions are definitely GKB AKD, one is Bj. 06/89, the other 09/89.
Both gearboxes have a dimension of 108mm on the right flange,
AAAABER:
the left flange differs in the way that the now built-in gearbox (it is as already mentioned REALLY an AKD) has the flange from the AYU installed.
The workshop was clever and wanted to change the flange - was nothing, different gearing in the gearbox! In addition, the flange of the AYU (100mm diameter) is even longer, so that the drive shaft must be shorter.
The workshop is now building up the flange again (with the dimensions of the AYU), so that the drive shaft (which Audi wants to have a sporty 220 Euro) has to be installed by the AYU.
Have you ever seen such a shit before?
Different flanges on a gearbox? Left 100mm, right 108mm?
The previous owner of the "new" gearbox assured me that nothing was ever done on the gearbox!
Audi can give zero information, because mentally unable to imagine dimensions.
Everything to milk mice...!
