I'll have to change the thermostat in the next few days.
On this occasion, it would be possible to switch from the green/blue cooling liquid to the red one (no two-year alternating interval required).
In old threads I made a little smart on the subject, but was not completely clarified.
Reference was made to a tinned gear and/or water cooler, then the red liquid can be switched to.
Think that my 4.2 is equipped with an external transmission oil cooler, which is not integrated in the water cooler as in the 3.6. Therefore, it would not be associated with the cooling liquid.
After proper rinsing of the circuit incl. Stand-up heating and heat exchangers should not stand in the way of changing to the red, or should I take back the mixing cooler fluid that can be refilled, regardless of whether there was blue or green liquid inside, which has been offered at Audi for a few months?
Can anyone give me advice on this?
Greetings Manfred.
