The tank flap, especially inside, was heavily rusted on my white. Then the rust came around the corner.
First I wanted to buy a new one and have it painted...
But as I am, I've been looking for a cheaper solution.
The V8 has the same tank flap as the Audi 100 / 200. Alpinweiss also exists with them.
I got a tank flap from the 100s over the forum. It was a decorative stripe on it. But it went off pretty well. I cleaned and polished that thing. Looks like new
The feather of my old mouth was rubble and didn't hold properly... I bought and painted a new one for about 2 euros. Hold it.
To have the original again.. I still ordered the sticker with the tire air pressure data.
So I have a respectable tank flap for just under 10 euros again...
