Hello together.
it's been a while since I was here in this forum.
The reason is pretty simple, I haven't found anything useful yet. Today I looked at a 91-piece 3.6 with a torn timing belt. The car itself has been with the problem for over 2 years now and no one has laid hands on it so far.
The body as well as the interior are in very good condition and it has run only 70,000 km. But the best thing is, it's a Japan import. The stickers in the engine compartment and on the B-sail are in Japanese, I find pretty cool. In addition, he has a huge subwoofer box on the hat rack and I thought it had been mounted there by a kid but it is original Audi. I've never seen anything like it before.
My question is:
Can I easily replace the engine with a 4.2 (plug & play) or is the engine still to be rescued after a toothed belt crack?
The price for the V8 is $350.
Thank you in advance
Greetings
Frank

Er will nen 3,6er gegen nen 4,2er tauschen

Gruss
