Hello,
My little "dicker" would probably only make me half as much fun if the sound inside wouldn't be right. because the forerunner was probably rather a bastler in things autosound and almost the tears came to me when I saw and heard what he had made so much (a lot of material, a bass, as if you were kicking against a box of boxes, heighten that hurt you in the ears when you heard a little louder... etc.)I decided to leave a profi to my new friend. So after the purchase I took him to a small hifi forge called "audio art" to stone (near Basel/Switzerland), from which I heard about known, that I should go there once, if I want something good.
So I had there and to my happiness he had to listen to a vehicle that he had made "fit" for a competition. he asked me if I would like to hear what he was doing....I...well, sure  so we got into the car and......where are the speakers??? nothing to see....naja...I'll be surprised... I thought so.
What I then experienced is hard to grasp. it was a immersion in a new dimension of sound. first a few silent passages with strokes in a clarity and details that I have never heard before. Then a thunderstorm with paws and trumpets that stopped me from breathing....wow...what an experience. absolutely crystal clear with a brutal force without a sign that the plant was overwhelmed with it....I've never experienced anything like that before.
I have already sat in many cars, which were equipped with speakers, that one had to be careful not to step off a speaker. stuffed with amplifiers, soft and what else it seems to need...and with headache got out again with the know....nee...that didn't need. but such a thing in quality with such minimal expenditure seemed impossible to me until then.
after we got out again and I was shaking a cigarette in two moves smoking, I said to him... ..nee...that's too heavy for me...and I'm sure it costs a fortune. he calmed me down, tacitly, that he has for every taste and money bag.
We then talked about my musical taste and sense of hearing....whether I prefer soft deep bass or rather hard. during this conversation, he always looked at my "thickness" and pulled some speakers out of the shelf, as if he knew exactly what it needed for my taste and for the vehicle.
I chose a simple version with 2 front and 2 rear speakers that fit into the original cuts of the vehicle without subwoofer and a small end stage. the installation lasted one day and the result can be heard. never thought that sooooo much bass could come from such small speakers :smirk:
a friend of mine had an installation of a workshop for about . 8000eur installed, but when he heard my equipment, almost the tears came to him..and I also paid only one fraction for my own. but by now he was also there ;)
So... who of you is thinking about a new facility for his car... that might be a address for that.
beautiful christmas time you all and a good slip into the new year.
