Offset between dashboard and doors

The offset was already available when I bought the V8 (BJ 1992) in 1995. The car has driver and passenger airbag.

A difference in colour and grain of the upper panel is striking compared to the door panels. Since all four doors look the same, the top panel probably came in anew before my time. Perhaps the airbags have triggered times in a very light impacter.

Questions:

I've already noticed such a offset on another V8. Did the manufacturer deliver such a Murk?

How can the offset be eliminated? Unlock and adjust screws, in this case adjust the dashboard with top a little higher and a little further forward?
