Hey, guys.
was at the VAG dealer today and had my Audi V8, 4.2, D11 (07/92) read out the memory.
Reason: Brake wear contact and airbag light is on fire.
The workshop was initially overwhelmed by the V8. After 10 min, thanks to the computer, you found the plug-in contact in the footroom and after further minutes and tests the adapter for the device for reading out.
Defect diagnosis:
Detonator for Airbag driver side - N95
Resistance too large
Sporadic error
Errors can be deleted, but will occur again in a moment.
proposed solution:
Renew reset ring with grinding ring for 427,21 euros without installation.
In view of the professionalism, I would like to ask you - can this be ??
Do you have a chance by cleaning the grinding contacts and the plug connections?
(which is perhaps still interesting: My cruise control has not been working for a few months.)
Would be great if I could get a competent advice.

Erneuern des entsprechenden Teiles ist immer zu empfehlen. Aus Sicht der Werkstatt.
Lenkrad öffnen, Stecker trennen und zusammenstecken, evtl. 2-3 mal wiederholen und mit etwas Glück ist die Sache erledigt.
Materialaufwand Null.
Bei mir hats geholfen...
PS: Aus welcher Ecke kommst Du?
VAG und Audi V8 passen heutzutage m.E: nicht mehr zusammen; das gibt es bessere Talente in der BRD.
