In the forum I've already read a lot about poor heating - I'm doing just that. The operating temperature of my '92 V8 4.2 is approx. 80 degrees (up to 100 only in traffic jams). You're not supposed to call thermostat optimal, are you? When reading out the info in the climate display, channel 8 always appears "16(small)7", and channel 10 varies "02small1" to "05small4" (approximately). Does this mean that the flap does not work and/or the actuator is defective? If so, do what? Where are the parts? At the AudiV8Forum in Switzerland, you can temporarily no longer download the repair instructions...

Hallo Peter.
Hat Dein V8 die neue Klima mit Doppeldisplay, oder die ältere Variante?
Bei der neueren müssen Kanal "8" und Kanal "10" die gleichen Werte anzeigen, ansonsten kannst Du davon ausgehen, dass der Temperaturklappenmotor fest oder spannungslos ist.
Ansonsten ist die Wassertemperatur mit 80Grad auch zu niedrig, sollte über 90Grad gehen, was dann kurz vor dem Einser der "100"-Grad Markierung entspricht.
Deutet auf das Thermostat hin.
