my workmate and I are just getting his V8 back to the original and of course find a bunch of defective parts...
The big problem is the gear-side cuffs on the VA. The local parts dealers don't have any in the system. With Audi, as far as known, since 2008 EoE.
The part number on the cuff is 431407283A. I've found one that's indicated with this OE number. It is the only one in the world. HA. The inner diameter is smaller than the original diameter.

In the original case, the balls are attached to the tin basket when the deflection is complete (19mm on axis). With the new one, the "ball cage" is located on the metal basket (distraction 14mm).

Can the problemless be installed? Who's done that? The manual gearboxes have significantly less deflection (balance to the vehicle side), does this have a special reason?

für 3,6er mit Automatikgetriebe habe ich eine andere Nummer : 441498201 (24mm) !
Oder beim 4,2er : 893498201B (21mm) bzw. 4B0498201 (21mm) !

Vielleicht hilfts dir !?
