Hey, guys.
when I stopped with my V8 for a moment today to unload something strange happened. I wanted to switch from position D to position P when it started to scream (similar to a hanging starter). I turned back and forth it screamed in R and as far as I know in P but not in N. I turned off the ignition in N with all the horror. When I got the car to about. 2 min, there was nothing unusual to hear. I just drove around for an hour with several stops and nothing more to hear. Does anyone have any idea what that sound means? Must be connected to the transmission, right?

Hi,
ich hatte das, als bei meinem alten V8 das Zündschloss defekt war. In R konnte es dann passieren, dass es den Starter reinhaute. Übel für den Zahnkranz und langfristig killt's auch den Starter.

Hallo,
Zündschloss wurde vor ein paar Jahren neu gemacht, aber das es diese Möglichkeit gibt, beruhigt mich ein wenig, mir ist alles lieber als ein Getriebeschaden..
