Gear damage?

Hello, everybody. I'm here again after a long time...
A few years ago, I had a timing belt crack at my 3.6 l of 1991 under full speed at over 200 km/h.
The engine was made at that time and the car also has enough power in the manual transmission program. Therefore, my problem should not lie directly on the engine.
As soon as automatic mode is used, the power is somehow lacking. We therefore believe that performance could be lost somewhere in the powertrain. The question is only where. My screwdriver might think it's the converter.
But then why did he have power in "hand-operated" mode? Here, too, the converter does the same work, except of course in the fourth gear.
Could it also be due to a transmitter/sensor that sends incorrect values to the gearbox from the direction of the motor and that may have damaged the engine at that time? Maybe someone has an idea... stays healthy and thank you in advance!
