My new V8 also has Bose and I don't really know this system at all in the V8. Anyway, it sounds much better than the standard stuff. There is currently a radio from Kenwood (with Dietz adapter).
Is it correct that no speakers were installed in the dashboard of the Bose Sound System? It's just in the front of the door panels and in the back of the hat rack.
I'm also looking for a radio gamma CD Bose. Unfortunately, such a thing is extremely difficult to get.
