I borrowed the new A8 4.2 for a little ride from the representative today.
Honestly, I'm a little disappointed. There is no real progress towards the D2. Of course, the air suspension is superior to the conventional, of course, but otherwise?
I mean, the gimmiks are nice, of course, but who has to start the engine by fingerprint? The MMI is nice, but the radio can be switched on without my... The seats are (subjective) even more uncomfortable than the old ones. Belts and headrests could only be adjusted manually... The interior is delicious, but the steering wheel - pfui Deibel... And then this hypernervous 6-speed machine with the viiiiiieeel too briefly translated first gear (you really can't start with the cart normally).
Eggey, all the electronics in there... If there goes after one or two years what putt, who should pay for it (see last posting on Horror prices at D2)?
Neeeiiieen, where's the progress? What about the maintenance? Oh, if I still had my V8...

Greetings,
Michi
