Have a question about the mixing of engine oil !
I have always been driving ARAL 10W40 Tronic "HIGH" and have never refilled anything else.
Since I have to fill up a little (approx. 1 litre), I want to know if I have any other engine oil (e.g. Loose amount of ATU or Castrol or similar) which has the same viscosity can refill.
Is there any difference between the two? fully synthetic/partly synthetic or doesn't it matter? To this VAG standard 50000 or 5.... should I be looking out or ?

Hallo Mathias.
Mischbar sind alle 4-Takt-Motoröle untereinander.
Jedoch nimmt ein hochwertiges Öl, die Eigenschaften von niederwertigem Öl an
Ebenso verändern sich die Viscositäten bei unterschiedlichen Gebinde je nach Mischungsanteil.
Mit Voll-und Teilsyntetikölen kann ich Dir keine Angaben machen.
Die hohen VW-Normen sollten die zu mischenden Öle schon haben.
