I have to tell you that I have once again accomplished a spiritual peak. I stopped by Ebay on Sunday and saw a 4.2 automatic transmission being auctioned. Oh, I thought I was bored anyway, so the best time with me, won't work anyway...
Then on Monday an e-mail, congratulations you have bought a 4.2 automatic transmission along with control unit. Ups, I thought. I can imagine I can put the ECU in the glove compartment, but the rest of it might be a bit too big for my car?
You know what I'm getting at? The gearbox should be picked up in Ingolstadt, I guess I totally missed when bidding. My question now is: do I have a real chance to somehow get the gearbox into my eighth? I don't know if that would fit from the measurements, because I never have seen a gearbox outside the car. How hard is this thing, anyway? I would be very happy about your hopefully positive answers. Thank you and wish you a nice evening, from which fortunately not so hot Berlin, Martin
