I'm new here, and I'm about to ask you a question.
I'm planning something. To install an Audi V8 engine in another car (youngtimer).
The mechanical side wouldn't even be the problem. (gear without four wheel for example)
The Audi V8 is quite reliable and light.
(Motortuning is not my case, so I would rather have a powerful large series engine)
Tuning would also be more expensive than a used motor with cable harness.
Road registration is not necessarily necessary, nor will it be possible.
Now my questions:
Then what would the motronics think or do?
Which vehicle side reference sizes does it need?
Could one dispense with the motronics and let it run conventionally? (gassing contact ignition?)
Does anyone have a motronics functional scheme?
How is the injection system built up?
Last but not least, which gearbox could withstand the torque or is there the possibility to shut down the front wheel drive of the gearbox?
Yeah, I know there's a lot of questions right at the beginning.
Whether I really do it is still far from certain.
I'm just checking out some alternative engines for myself.
I've got plenty of time and I'm technically pretty fit, but things like motronics are just creepy to me.
So don't laugh at me right now.

Welcome
Jürgen
