and my seat cushion was heavily flattened yesterday I disassembled the entire seat and re-upholstered it.The upholstery costs around 60 euros for normal seat.Sport seat is similar (except the one with extendable thigh support).
Easy to remove seat
-Clip off side panels(on the right are 3 bars to press through)
-Unlock the 2 cross screws of the backrest and pull off the clamps of the backrest
- both connection lines of the seat heating and pull back from the seat part sideways and remove (but not tear on the cables for heating)
-Turn the seat piece around and remove the felt sideways
-at both ends remove the wire that goes through the reference from the metal and bend all hooks(4 pieces)
-in the rear area bend the sheet metal a little and remove the cover (including the cardboard part)
- Remove the frame from the pad
- carefully roll around the cover(is covered with upholstery clips)
-From behind start to cut the clips with a sharp side separator and remove the cover from the pad
- carefully remove the heating mat from the old pad and attach it to the new pad using double-sided adhesive tape
- fix the cover with new upholstery clips and pliers (asks the friendly for -for rental-- is not often used)(takes to see the old holes-is good)
-Turn the cover back into the frame after attaching it and put it back into the frame
-Hang the cover back into the hooks
- tighten the wire on both sides with pliers and fasten it again
- put the cover back into the frame (turned completely once) and turn the metal strip back.
From there it goes in reverse pure sequence
Time is about 2 hours.
Rep. It is carried out also so (only without new cushion) when the heating mat is a seat heater in a bucket.
