Electric fan

The Problem
The electric fan does not work.
The relay is intact.
The new dealer on the radiator.
The connection's fine.
On the diagram it is shown that the fan switch on two encoders on the radiator and on the engine.
Where is the encoder on the engine?
On the cylinder head at the rear or on the engine at the front.
