Hello, everybody!

I have now done the following things:

Evaporator and blower housing removed, but I removed my bonnet for that, because one does then do themselves a lot easier, as Jenz is right. But I also had to dismantle many claddings in the interior. But when I had everything out then I had to find out that you can't open the evaporator housing for cleaning. You probably have to buy a completely new housing with evaporator at Audi. Well, I didn't do that, because my evaporator was just totally dirty, but not broken. I then carefully opened the case on the plastic welds and then freed the evaporator from the coarsest dirt (original foliage, bird feathers, ancient ticket from the predecessor etc.). Then I soaked the evaporator in the bathtub (connections sealed before). My girlfriend almost killed me!!! You should've seen what kind of "brother" was formed, the absolute madness. I then let the evaporator soak for a few hours and then gently felt through the lamellas with plenty of water and, look, the thing looks like new again. My girlfriend calmed down after I cleaned the bathroom.
Now I've been thinking about how to get the evaporator housing back neatly and tightly. For this I am then to our VAG dealer here with us in the place and that gave me then a black special glue and that also for free. I then glued the case again and this glue now holds the case together so tightly, I think that now holds better than before.
I also opened the blower box, but it was a bit easier, because there are extra clamps and screws. I changed the heater cooler and the blower for a new heater cooler and a new blower, because the heater cooler and the blower did not look good anymore. Manfred was right about that!
Now I have also installed everything again, but of course also with new hose clamps and new seals for the air conditioning lines. Water and G12 I have again rein again and after extensive test run I could find out, the "modriege" smell from the ventilation has disappeared and now it smells really pleasant.
Today I have to reassemble the motor, reinstall the wiper rods and, of course, reassemble everything from the inside.
In the next few days I have to have my climate filled again and that costs at least 70,00 € again.

Greeting from Lower Bavaria

Ne, war nur Spaß.
Hut ab, vor dieser "Fleißaufgabe".

Hallo Manfred,

ich danke Dir, aber es war dringend nötig und was tut man denn nicht alles, wenn man dem Audi V8 verfallen ist.
Na Du weißt schon was ich meine.

Wünsche Dir noch einen schönen Tag
