I revived my cruiser today after 8 months of silt because my second car quit duty on Friday. And since the valuable Seat dealer takes 4 days to get a new water hose for a Marbella, I finally have a reason to drive a few days V8 again
. So I got in this morning, before the laaaaangen way to the road traffic office again good oil, water and of course air checked, and then started... His first peculiarities were that when I was idle, the speed pulsated and he went out if you didn't keep him alive with some gas. But I knew that already, when it gets warm it's gone, it's because of the sharp cam waves. Did I at least think... because then it was warm, and as soon as you uncoupled while braking, it immediately went out without comment. Which of course makes it difficult to steer and brake, without engine support... Well, you get used to everything, so always switch the gears through while braking, so that it doesn't run out, and after uncoupling, you slow down and give gas at the same time... So far, so good.
Then one day I sneaked up like this, one car and two more. So I switched down three gears and FIRE, which is why I drive V8
So, past in nullkommanix, then braked again to a moderate cruising speed, and after about 2 minutes he started to buck, then he pulled again, then he bucked again - although I gave some gas! ... I uncoupled, and see here: The speed pulsated between 1400 and 2100. Well, then we don't give up gas, then he'll probably go out... but no, wrong thought! The speed was fixed at 850 rpm. Oh, no! So again a new throttle cap pot. That can't be true! That was just a new one last year! What I want to know about you now:
- Why does he run out of gas when the throttle-poti is running reasonably, and why is the idleness of the poti going to be bombproof?
- Is that really the poti? Or is it just the result of another mistake? At least exchange of the potis helps...
- Or maybe a job? Poti wrong?
- If the poti is really done, what can I do to stop my ABH from killing things like flies? It's gonna be expensive in the long run!
- Is there any way we can get to the distributor? That's pretty much the trifling thing that hasn't been done new.
And a few more things about your info:
-Lamda new last year (orig. Audi)
-Potty last year new (ARGH!)
- Clearing valve recently cleaned.
-new control unit last year
-Mechanics overtaken last year (new bearings, seals, etc.)
Does anyone know advice?
