Help: Timing belts very loose ?!

Hello.

have a question to the specs, who have changed the timing belt themselves or know something about it.

I just went down to the garage and thought, look at the timing belt. When I then touched the timing belt above (so where it runs over the water pump) it was very loose. I can turn the water pump by hand! After the camshaft wheel, however, the belt is a little more tight again.
I started the engine and wanted to see how the belt was running. I ran the engine for 2-3 minutes. After that, the strap was a bit tighter up there, but I can still turn the water pump by hand...
==References==<br> 30000 km changed at Audi.

Is that normal that the strap is so loose? Is the belt tensioned automatically when the engine is running?

I'm a little worried... Do I have to go to Audi and complain?

The engine is a 4.2 l 40 V MKB: AQH of the S8 (360 hp).

Greetings,
Martin W

Hallo,
